Description: Downloaded on September 14, 2016.The San Bernardino County, Geographic Information Management System (GIMS) has developed a county wide Street Network basemap. The Street Network is a digital basemap containing streets, rail roads and stream courses. This basemap is composed of map features (streets, rail roads & streams) and a database containing information about the map features. The database contains such information as street name, street address range and city. The Street Network has been developed from a variety of data sources including the USGS 7.5' quad sheets, subdivision tract maps, parcel maps & aerial photography. Positional accuracy within urbanized areas can range from + 2 - 20 feet. Non-subdivided rural areas are generally within +- 30 ft with aerial photography being alignment source. The Street Network employs a single line representation of street centerlines. The Street Network fully supports address-matching applications. The Street Network is continuously maintained and upgraded. New streets are added from subdivsion tract and parcel maps as they are recorded with County Recorder's OfficeContact Brent Rolf for updated data (brolf@isd.sbcounty.gov).The City of San Bernardino has amended this layer as follows: Clipped to area surrounding and in the City, Added field: ArterialTy (arterial type) delinating the City's arterial designation.09/2016 Added numerous fields for GIS Intern Vanessa.
